North

The North is where the polar bears live. Jason liked watching the polar bears during the winter, but they usually didn't come down to his area during the spring, summer or autumn. One day when he was young he drew a picture of a polar bear. It didn't look much like a polar bear, he had to admit, but he was six at the time.

 

Despite that fact, that he was six, he always felt vaguely dissatisfied with it, like he should have done it better.

 

He kept the picture in a notebook, which is packed in among the boxes in the back of his truck on his big move to the South.

 

The North is another thing that is cold.
